Perpendicular and parallel line segments, and angles are important geometric principles that are in the environments around you! Whether you are at the mall with your friends or driving to your hockey practice or working on a cool graphic design project you encounter angles and parallel lines. 

 

By the end of the topic you will be able to:

• measure, draw, and describe angles

• estimate the measure of angles

• use certain angles to determine whether two lines are parallel

• solve problems involving angles and pairs of angles, and parallel, non-parallel, perpendicular, and transversal lines
